How do I change the background for video based avatars?

The ability to change the background is available for Express Avatars — provided that the original footage was recorded using a green screen.

How to enable background customization:

1. When creating an Express Avatar, go to the Submit Footage step
2. Check the box that says “My footage has a green screen”
3. This tells the system to separate the background, allowing you to swap it later in the Studio editor

⚠️ If you don’t select this option during submission, the original background will be permanently embedded in the avatar — and you won’t be able to change it later.
