V2 Avatars, also known as Photo Avatars, are created from a single image using lightweight rendering, enabling fast generation while supporting a wide range of languages.
They are the most efficient option for high-volume, straightforward communication use cases and are fully compatible with interactive visual agents, making them ideal for scalable and responsive content delivery.
How to create a V2 Avatar:
- In the D-ID Studio, click on “Avatars” in the left-hand menu
- Click “Create Avatar”
- Select “Create with a photo”
- Upload your image and follow the prompts to complete the process
⚠️ The option “Create with a video” is for V3 Instant Avatars not V2 ones.
Output quality:
- Videos created with V2 Avatars support resolutions up to 1280x1280p
- Final resolution depends on the quality of the image you upload
Image upload guidelines:
To ensure the best results:
- Use a front-facing photo
- Maintain a neutral expression
- Ensure good lighting
- Avoid face occlusions (e.g. sunglasses, hair covering the face)
- Minimum face size: 200x200px
- Maximum image file size: 10MB
