What are V3 Pro Avatars?

V3 Pro Avatars are D-ID’s highest-tier avatars, designed for professional content creation. 

Created from a 3:30 minute uploaded video, they deliver Full HD (1080p) output with the highest level of realism on the platform, including natural facial expressions, hand and body movements, and lifelike motion.

They feature a cloned voice for flexible narration, optional green-screen recording for full background control, and are available to Pro and higher-tier users.

 

 

Two ways to record your V3 Pro Avatar footage:

  1. Upload a video file from Google Drive or your device
  2. Record directly on the platform using your webcam

In both methods, you must also record a consent statement using your webcam. The person giving consent must be the same person featured in the avatar footage.

Creation flow:

  1. To create a new avatar in D-ID Creative Studio, first log in and navigate to the Agents screen. 

  2. Click on Create New Agent, then select Create Avatar and choose Create with a Video. 

  3. Follow the on-screen steps and guidelines to complete the process.

  4. Read and record the Consent Statement, which includes a dynamic 3-word passcode.

Record yourself for five minutes, ensuring you follow the shooting guidelines:

  • Keep your face visible and well-lit
  • Record in a quiet environment
  • Maintain eye contact with the camera
  • Pause between sentences with your mouth closed
  • During the final 30 seconds of the recording, don't speak, just record yourself listening.

After submitting your footage and consent, your avatar will be created within 24 hours

Best practice: 

  • Best practices for recording:

    • Use professional cameras if possible. Mobile phones or webcams are acceptable.
    • Record in 1080p or higher (4K 60FPS is ideal)
    • Keep the video continuous — no cuts or edits
    • Avoid extreme lighting shifts, especially outdoors
    • Maintain direct eye contact throughout
    • Keep hand gestures below chest level
    • Use natural pauses with your lips closed and eyes on camera

    Tip: Planning to change the background later? Film against a green screen for best results.
