How do I create a silent video?

There are two ways to create a silent video in D-ID Studio — both allow your avatar to display natural facial expressions (and hand gestures) without speaking.

Option 1: Add breaks to your script (Standard Voices only)

1. In the script box, click the stopwatch icon
2. Insert breaks, each lasting 0.5 seconds
3. Add as many as you need to match the desired silence duration

⚠️ This method only works with Standard Voices

Option 2: Upload a silent audio file 

1. Create and upload an audio recording of silence
2. Use it in your project — your avatar will animate without speaking
